PDF Grant!

C3 received a grant today of $1,000 from the Wellspring Fund of the Peace Development Fund. This grant is to help meet general operating expenses and will be very important in helping C3 get up and running. Thanks to PDF for this wonderful show of support for the C3 vision!

The grant from PDF joins the growing list of gifts of all sizes C3 is receiving from the many Valley residents who see how important C3 will be in helping progressive nonprofits and local artists do their work more effectively and collaboratively by providing affordable space and shared resources. Thanks to everyone who has given so generously!

If you haven't already, I hope you will join the growing community of C3 supporters by making a tax-deductible gift. Your support is crucial to making the C3 vision a vibrant, exciting reality. Please send your check to:

Art Angels Grant!

I just found out this week that Art Angels, a wonderful group of local women philanthropists dedicated to funding the arts, has given a grant of $3000 to C3 to help us get our new Storefront Art program up and going.

Storefront Art brings artists and property owners together to meet the space needs of local artists by creatively using empty storefronts in a way that increases the cultural and economic vibrancy of Northampton. To find out more about Storefront Art send an email to info@commonwealthcenter.org.

I want to express our deep gratitude to the Art Angels; their support means a lot to us here at C3 and will be incredibly important in getting Storefront Art off to a dynamic, powerful start!
Welcome to Julia Handschuh!

I'm super pleased to announce that Julia Handschuh has joined the C3 team as a program/research/administrative assistant. Julia brings a great deal of experience in nonprofit administration, program development and outreach to her position at C3, in addition to a deep commitment to being an active, reflective participant in movements for progressive change. She is also a wonderful artist, and will play a key role in getting our Storefront Art program off the ground.
